Marketplace

The Marketplace is the Dynamo platform that enables users to publish, discover, compare, and purchase digital services offered by different Providers.

Buyer and Buyer account

A Buyer is a user who uses the Marketplace to search for, evaluate, and purchase digital services.
A Buyer account is the account used to access the Marketplace as a customer and manage services, orders, and billing information.

Storefront

The Storefront is the public Marketplace interface where services are displayed, described, and made available for purchase.

Provider and Provider account

A Provider is a user or organization that publishes and makes its digital services available through the Marketplace.
A Provider account is the account used to publish, manage, and monitor services offered through the Marketplace.

Provider dashboard

The Provider dashboard is the management area dedicated to Providers, where they can administer published services, monitor activities, and manage Provider account information.

Service class

A Service class is the technical model of a service. It defines the structure, attributes, configurations, and provisioning methods used by services created within the Dynamo Marketplace.

Variant

A variant is a specific combination of values for the price-relevant attributes of a Marketplace Service. A Marketplace Service can include multiple variants, each representing a different configuration of the same service and having its own price.

Marketplace Service

A Marketplace Service is a service configured by a Provider based on a Service class and intended for publication in the Dynamo Marketplace. It includes commercial settings, pricing, and information displayed in the Storefront.

Service Center and Data Center

A Service Center represents a geographic location, with the city as the minimum level of granularity, used to group the Data Centers associated with that location.
A Data Center identifies a specific infrastructure associated with a Service Center and used to deliver services published in the Dynamo Marketplace.

Provisioning

Provisioning is the process of activating, configuring, and delivering a service after it has been purchased by a Buyer.
The Provider can provision services using the following methods:

  • via email, with manual request handling;
  • via API, through automated integration between Dynamo and the Provider’s systems.

Published

A Provider-side service status indicating that publication has been completed in the Provider dashboard. It does not indicate that the service has already been added to the Buyer catalog by Dynamo.

Storefront visibility

The condition in which a service, after being added to the catalog by Dynamo, is available, searchable, and purchasable within the Buyers’ Storefront.

Price plan

The pricing configuration of a Marketplace Service that defines its payment, billing, duration, and renewal settings. Prices are then defined for each variant according to the selected Price plan.

Meson

A component used by Dynamo to manage the technical integration required for API-based service provisioning.

Service categories

Services available in the Dynamo Marketplace can belong to different categories, including:

  • IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) – a cloud model that delivers virtual infrastructure resources, such as servers, networking, and storage, as a service;
  • PaaS (Platform as a Service) – a cloud model that provides platforms, environments, and tools used to develop, deploy, and manage applications;
  • SaaS (Software as a Service) – a cloud delivery model in which software is provided as a service accessible over the Internet.
