Prerequisites and preliminary activities for creating a service
Prerequisites
- have an active Provider account;
- have created at least one Data Center associated with a Service Center.
Service offering configurations and materials
Before creating a service, it is recommended that you prepare all commercial information, technical configurations, and materials that will be used to configure the service offering in the Marketplace.
In particular, it is helpful to have the following information available:
- service name;
- commercial description and key features;
- service category and type;
- images, logos, or other graphics associated with the service;
- any contractual documents or terms and conditions;
- the Service class to be used as the technical service model;
- attributes and parameters required from the Buyer;
- any outputs returned after provisioning;
- pricing model;
- the variants to be offered, including the combinations of price-relevant attribute values and their prices;
- service duration and renewal settings;
- any compliance or data processing requirements.
Preparing this information in advance helps simplify Marketplace Service configuration and reduce the risk of errors during publication.
Plan provisioning and fulfillment
Before publishing a service, it is important to define the operational processes for provisioning, activation, and fulfillment.
In particular, it is recommended that you determine:
- whether provisioning will be managed through email or API integration;
- which activities will be performed automatically;
- which activities will require manual intervention;
- which information will be returned to the Buyer after activation;
- which email addresses will be used for provisioning and support communications.
If the service uses API-based provisioning, the Dynamo team must perform additional technical validations to verify that the Meson integration operates correctly.
