Approval, provisioning and visibility of published services

What happens after service publication

After a service is created and published from the Provider dashboard, it is registered in the Marketplace services section. This step indicates that the service has been published from the Provider side, but it does not necessarily mean that it is immediately visible in the Buyer Storefront.

Difference between Marketplace services and Storefront

The Marketplace services section in the Provider dashboard and the Buyer Storefront represent two different layers of the Marketplace. A service may appear as published in the Provider dashboard while not yet being visible in the Storefront.

Specifically:

  • Marketplace services displays the services configured and managed by the Provider;
  • Storefront displays services that have been added to the catalog by Dynamo and made available to Buyers.

The Published status indicates that the service has been published from the Provider side, but it does not indicate that the service has already been added to the Buyer catalog by Dynamo.

Service addition to the catalog by Dynamo

After a service is published, Dynamo adds it to the catalog before it becomes visible in the Storefront.

The following aspects may be reviewed:

  • completeness of service information;
  • accuracy of the commercial configuration.

Service visibility in the Storefront

Once Dynamo adds the Provider’s service to the catalog, the service becomes visible in the Buyer Storefront.

Once the service is available in the Storefront, it may appear:

  • in the list of available services;
  • in search results;
  • within Storefront dynamic filters, such as Provider, service category, or location.

If the service is not yet visible in the Storefront, it has not yet been added to the catalog by Dynamo.

Email-based provisioning

When a purchased service uses Email-based provisioning, the Provider receives a provisioning request at the Email provisioning address configured in the Provider profile.

The email includes an encrypted request.zip attachment containing the information required to provision the service. The email body contains the instructions for processing the request.

The passphrase required to open request.zip is available in the Provider dashboard and must also be used to encrypt the provisioning response.

To complete the provisioning request:

  • open request.zip using the provisioning passphrase;
  • use the information contained in the package to provision the service;
  • complete the provided response.json file with the provisioning-specific information;
  • package the completed file in response.zip;
  • encrypt response.zip using the same provisioning passphrase;
  • return the encrypted response according to the instructions provided in the provisioning email.

After publishing a service, it is recommended that you verify:

  • that the service appears in the Marketplace services section of the Provider dashboard;
  • that the service status is consistent with the configured settings;
  • that the category, Service class, Data Center assignments, and pricing are correct;
  • that the service appears in the Storefront after it has been added to the catalog by Dynamo;
  • that the service can be found through search and appears in the expected filters;
  • that service images, descriptions, and HTML content are displayed correctly;
  • that the service details page displayed to Buyers is complete and accurate.
